Tuesday in Jerusalem

You have probably all noted that the blog posts are less frequent...the pix are fewer. As my Mom would say: we are "running out of steam". OK.....we were really "working" yesterday and today....and not "goofing off"..so I guess we are somewhat entitled. But, finally, it is our last full day here in Israel. While we are both very homesick and ready to be on our way...the past 2 days teaching, perhaps, have been the best of our trip. The techs and docs both have been so appreciative. We both have been moved to tears numerous times today (could be that we are over-tired from too many days of shopping?? ;o))) by their warm remarks, heartfelt and sincere thanks, and invitations and encouragement to return here soon. Hard to even think about at this point...but this is definately one country I would eagerly come back to again. Tonight we have a faculty dinner which should be fun...Italian food in Jerusalem...go figure. Neither of us has had our fill of the "local" food...which was so much better than we ever imagined. Really amazing, flavorful, fresh and healthy. We have a whole slide show devoted to food....which all you foodies (and you know who you are!!) can salivate over when we put them into Picasa and send them on.
In the meantime will finish up our lectures tomorrow morning, spend the rest of the day at yet another outdoor market that we somehow managed to miss...and pick up whatever else we can cram into our suitcases before heading to Tel Aviv at 7:30 tomorrow night. More pix later today.
